I am a single parent with high aspirations.  I am a writer who is working on completely an anthology.  I am a Girl Scout, and a Girl Scout staff member, working to lead girls to bigger and brighter futures.


Every girl believes that, one day, she will be someone, do something.
And yet there are the girls who already do, who act, who engage. Every day. Now.
These are the girls we all want to be. Who are brave enough. Visionary enough. Smart enough.
Gutsy enough to know their own minds. To like themselves.
And with enough moxie to do what they set out to do, whatever that is.
They come from every walk of life. Often from the most unexpected places.
Each has her own voice. She doesn't hold back. Not for a minute.
And though every girl might not be there yet, this girl is at the core of every girl. It might be a glimmer. It might be waiting, itching, chomping at the bit to get out. And even the girls who already know it can always do more.
There's a society of these girls who do. Who act. Who engage. A society where girls answer that core.
Find their voice. Build on it. Inspire those around them. They do. Act. Engage.
They call their society the Girl Scouts. Every girl should be a member.
